Aidan Gillen cast as writer James Joyce in new movie

Game of Thrones star Aidan Gillen has been cast as Irish literary icon James Joyce in a new movie.
The actor, whose scheming character Lord Petyr 'Littlefinger' Baelish was killed off in Sunday's (27Aug17) epic Game of Thrones season seven finale, will portray the writer in director Robert Mullan's James And Lucia.
The movie will focus on the novelist's life as he pens Finnegans Wake while his daughter Lucia's mental health deteriorates.
A professional dancer, she was diagnosed as schizophrenic in the mid-1930s.
The role of Lucia has yet to be cast, according to Deadline.com.
Gillen will be busy now his stint on Game of Thrones appears to have ended - as well as playing Joyce, he will also reprise his role as Janson in Maze Runner: The Death Cure and he has joined the cast of hit TV series Peaky Blinders, too.
